Being the best you, for you.

So, this will be the first post since creating this world. And it took me so long because I didn’t know what to start with. What subject to dwell on. So I decided on this – Being you.

Being the best you, that you can be is definitely important in all relationships you maintain. Especially in a romantic relationship.

Sometimes I wonder – How can you love someone and be happy with that person, if you are not happy with yourself and have little love for yourself? Sometimes you have to find yourself to be yourself.

And being happy with yourself means being happy with all looks, comfortable in your skin. being happy with your relationship with God, how you treat other people. And most importantly being happy with the direction your  life waving in. Especially this – you are responsible for this, you are steering. I recently read a few of Audrey Roloff’s blog posts and I found it really inspiring. Especially one called “Beauty is not measured by your hair and skin, it’s measured by your heart and soul” and she quoted the following and wrote :

“Your beauty should not come from outward adornments, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.” – 1 Peter 3:3-4

When we invest money, effort, and time into our outward beauty, it may make us seem more beautiful for a time, but this kind of beautifying is ultimately temporal. Our earthly bodies are not immune to growing old and dying. In contrast, our hearts and souls will not wither and fade, they can actually grow more beautiful with age and time.

Be happy with yourself. Love yourself. Embrace all of you. Be the best you. Smile and wave, have peace in your heart and love. Do what makes you happy, take a risk and always take a lesson out of your mistakes.
